Mimetics Operates Joint Booth with Japanese Partner at ‘CITE JAPAN 2025’
Mimetics announced it co-hosted a booth with Japanese company OG CORPORATION at ‘CITE JAPAN 2025,’ which was held in Yokohama, Japan, from May 14 to 16, 2025.
This exhibition was the first time Mimetics introduced its core technology, the ‘negative pressure patch,’ to the Japanese market. The collaboration was based on a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and joint research and development signed with OG CORPORATION last year. Through this event, both companies established a foundation for entering Japan’s premium market, focusing on Transdermal Drug Delivery System (TDDS) technology.
Mimetics’ negative pressure patch is a product that combines a micro-structure with micro-negative pressure technology. It is a non-invasive method that generates micro-negative pressure upon skin contact, enhancing the absorption of active ingredients. The technology can be used without damaging the skin barrier and is considered a non-irritating product.
Currently, the negative pressure patch is applied to areas around the eyes, glabella, and forehead and can be custom-designed with a variety of active ingredients. It is gaining attention as a next-generation transdermal drug delivery platform, recording a higher absorption rate compared to regular cosmetics.
Using this exhibition as a stepping stone, Mimetics plans to strengthen its foothold in the Japanese market and expand its business into other Asian regions, including Southeast Asia and China.
Park Hyung-ki, CEO of Mimetics, said, “This exhibition was a significant opportunity to enter the Japanese market and to directly introduce our technology and products through the collaboration with OG CORPORATION. Local consumers and buyers showed great interest in the negative pressure patch technology, and we will accelerate our expansion in the Japanese market.”
